The “Type Song Poster” is a project that had me create a poster for a song. The goal was to delve deeper into what the song really meant, rather than what it appeared to mean, and imply these meanings in a design.
The song I chose was “Tongue Tied” by GROUPLOVE. While it may sound like a typical summer tune, its deeper meaning was all about the careless mistakes made in youth via substances and impulsive actions. The twists on the front symbolizes the complexity and confusion that comes with young love, while the bottle on the back is to resemble bottling these feelings up.
